Last software update: December 1997, Version 1.4
This is a "runtime" Visual Basic 3.0 program which plots the locations of gemstones on a scalable map of Australia. It runs on any PC which has Windows 3.1 or higher. A mouse is essential. The program and VB runtime files are in a self-extracting ZIP file GEMZIP2.EXE (less than 300K compressed and about 500K installed). From the DOS prompt copy it to a temporary directory such as c:\temp. Enter GEMZIP2 to start the unzipping process. Enter INSTALL to create a directory VB_RUN and transfer the necessary files. The temporary files can then be deleted.
This is shareware - try before you buy (AU$40). Income goes towards further improvements to the program. See the README.TXT file that comes with the installation for more information.
